For the Wii version of the game you can choose either the classic controller or the Wiimote and Nunchuk setup. It's always fun to blow the heads off of all the evil not-zombies. What is also good about Resident Evil 4 is the targeting system. If you're not careful, you can literally lose your head.
I mean it's Resident Evil! Th is is the same series that gave us famous lines such as "Jill, here's a lockpick, it should help you the master of unlocking," and "You were almost a Jill sandwich!".ĭid I also mention there's a few times in this game where you're threatened by maniacs that wield chainsaws that can quite obviously kill you in just one hit? This is a pretty gruesome scene btw. That's not to say the game doesn't have its cheesy moments. You're just now arriving in the ballpark of how scary this game is. I know that sounds silly, so try imaginingn being out on a lake in the middle of nowhere then a giant sea monster roughly the size of Rhode Island pops out of the water and tries to devour you. Gameplay is smooth, fun, and the game is scary as heck.
The story however really isn't nearly as important as the gameplay aspect. Resident Evil 4 is the story of Leon Kennedy trying to rescue the Presidents daughter from a group of deranged cultists known as Los Illuminados. It only took Capcom what? About 15-20 installments of Resident Evil before they finally got the damn controls right? Yeah, that's about right.
